Abby has been a huge influence in my life. I am a competative swimmer and triathlete. I was introduced to kettlebells over a year ago and it has totally transformed my body and kicked my training up a couple of notches. Abby is very knowlegable and patient. she takes the time to show you correct form and makes you feel like you are succeeding.I enjoy training with kettlebells so much that I have become a certified HKC trainer and soon to be RKC certified. I owe it all to her. I truely look up to Abby and the knowlege she has with kettlebells.

When i first meet Abby she was welcoming and proffesional. Her indepth knowledge of Kettellbell and ability to instruct is very impressive. Her classes have alloyed me to continuesly work my body the way it needs to be worked, in the last year my body has dramaticly changed, no more neck and back pain, my flexabity and core stength has increased alloying me to compete againt men half my age in submission grappling, I never thought that at age 34 I would be competing again. I truley owe it all to Abby and her gym, They have realy transformed me into an intergrative athelete.

If you are serious about getting in shape, Danny and Abby are the people to see.My family and I have been members for a year and enjoy both of them.You look forward to going to class,this is not just a hobby for them,they take it very seriously.They take the time to show you proper technique over and over again, if thats what it takes.Workouts are never boring,we do somthing differant each class.If you are not dripping with sweat when you leave than its your fault.Both Danny and Abby are both furthering there knowledge of kettlebells to pass on to there students.I personaly have lost inches,and have gained in strength, by the kettlebells I am using now compared to when I started.Kettlebells do not lie.If you are serious about your health,losing pounds and inches,gaining strength than I highly recommend The Integrative athete with Danny and Abby.
P.S. I still have not decided who has harder classes.

I first started with community yoga in April 2009 to be involved in a class again. Up until we moved here to Sandpoint I had been only doing at home workouts and it wasn't enough. The yoga was great once a week and I loved Abby and her energy. Then I became curious about kettlebells and wanted much more of a workout other than at home workouts. So, along with my husband Sean we went to Kettlebell boot camp to learn the sport and became hooked. It has changed our strength level greatly and improved our skiing and snowboarding. It has improved all areas of our lives in relation to day to day activities and sports. We love that Abby is always continuing her education for both yoga and kettlebell trainig and bringing that to us. We now workout almost everyday and will continue working out with Danny and Abby as long as they are here in Sandpoint.

I have been doing kettlebells with Abby for 4 weeks, 3 days/week and I LOVE it. I never heard or saw this technique before and was not sure what to expect. It is a full body workout like you wouldn't believe. I have lower back and neck issues I made aware to Abby before our first session, her responce was "well Michelle then you need to be doing this!!" she was right. Abby is obviously so knowlegable about body awareness we have not skipped a beat because of my back and neck. She is able to help me strengthin my problem areas and improve my posture and teaching me how to be aware of my body. Abby is here to honestly help you reach your goal and for your well being, and thats what makes her such a great instructor. She loves what she is doing and it shows.

Both Abby and Danny are patient, knowledgable instructors who spend as much individual time as need to ensure proper technique. Describing their 'energy' is tough - but there's something to their teaching & leadership style that's authentic and profound - I guarantee that their kettlebell class is unlike any other workout available. Truly remarkable.

When Abby and Danny first opened The Integrative Athlete, I came for the ashtanga yoga. I had never heard of kettlebells and was naturally suspicious of something so different from the traditional weight lifting that I'd grown up with. Abby demonstrated the kettlebell swing for me and explained the benefits of the work out. I have a passion for snowboarding and doing something that would improve my core strength for that sport was enough to make me give it a try.
Abby's focus on form relieves any anxiety about injury. Kettlebells are the perfect compliment to yoga and my practice has already improved with the benefits of improved cardio, and strength that the kettlebells have added. Abby has an intuitive sense of where you need to be and easily guides you in that direction. I am so glad that she took the time to demonstrate the kettlebells to me. I love the flow of this work out and the feeling of power that it gives me. I can't wait to see the benefits come winter! I highly recommend Abby as an instructor.

When Abby and Danny came down to my school for one of their 5 hour seminars I was blown away with how well it went. Abby was a great instructor, very approachable and personable. The seminar was very well structured and educational. It was a real experience learning from her. She has a great indepth knowledge of Kettlebells and Yoga and the link between the two. I left sore for one, and educated for two. The next day I felt as though I could repeat almost everything that I had learned the previous day.

I had never really done any serious exercise before I was introduced to Abby and kettlebells. The first couple sessions were great, she worked with me to personalize my workouts and even helped me plan out a whole new diet plan. She also really helped me with perfecting my form and tecnique. Since then the workout intensity has increased and Ive noticed great improvments with my body. Everything looks and feels much more toned and I can feel myself getting stronger with each workout. Thanks to Abby I look and feel great. I highly recommend Abby to anyone who wants a great workout that will be customized for just you. Shes a great motivator and pushes you to get the results you want. Thank you Abby! (:

 
9/10 Fun Workouts with GREAT results

I highly recommend Abby to anyone looking for an instructor that truly personalizes your workouts to your specific goals. She not only helped with learning techniques, but also helped us with nutrition. I saw such an improvement in strength over the 5 weeks I worked with her. My tone was much better and I saw significant improvements in my jiu-jitsu workouts, having better grip on the gi and improved strength for some of the sweeps. What is great about how Abby instructs is that she teaches you how to be INDEPENDENT so that you can go and do any of the workouts on your own with confidence; whereas, some instructors will only let you learn so much and you dependent on them. Thanks Abby! :)

I spent 5 weeks working out with Abby, just two days a week, an hour at a time. I've gone through a lot of working out phases in my life, and when I went into my month with Abby I was definitely in a slump without much motivation or energy. I enjoyed the pace and intensity of her workouts, and I quickly went out and bought myself a 15lb and a 25lb KB! I lost a couple pounds (and quite a few inches) in just that month, and I'm getting back into the swing of things without having to spend a lot of time in the gym. I love the fact that I can get a great sweat on in only a few minutes, and it's so simple I can do my workouts in the yard or in front of the TV. I'm looking forward to another month-long session with Abby and the KBs, and will hopefully have some more great results!

 
9/10 A quicker way to build a better body.

This was my first experience with ketttlebells. I had been seriously lifting weights for a little over a year and had made great progress. I had even did a figure competition and was learning the ins and outs of training. I was spending 5 some times 6 days a week at the gym and up to 2 hours each time I was there. I was getting to the point of burning out and had hit a plateau. I thought I was going to have to work out even harder or more to gain muscle and tone. Or I could always change my workout, but I had no idea what to do. Then I found kettlbells. First of all I have never sweat so much ever! I was shocked how much my heart rate went up in a matter of minutes. I loved the class. Form and using force was a challenge for me, but as I practice at home, I challenge myself to be more forceful rather than try to go for longer sessions. I am looking forward to increasing the weights of my kettlebells and getting into a regular routine. My fiance' is noticing more definition in my arms and glutes. I notice how tight my core feels! I am still working on getting over the fear of swinging the kettlebell over my head. I love working out at home and skipping the gym!! I am doing the workout 3 days a week and am looking forward to being an even buffer bride! I would recommend this class to beginners and serious fitness enthusiasts. Abby is a very detailed instructor and really listens to what each individual wants to get out of the class. She also makes sure your form is perfect and really pays attention to each class member. Thanks Abby!
