10/10 Awesome workout; the best I've tried this year!

I recently started using kettlebells by purchasing videos from another instructor after seeing his "infomercial". Thank God I discovered Lauren Brooks; she is 100 times better than what I already had. Her instructions are clear, her form (and her partner's) is excellent, and the DVD is a great production overall. I really appreciated the detailed guidelines (proper weight selection, etc.) and instructions she provided (for 15 exercises) prior to completing any of the workouts. You can tell she knows what she is doing and her personality is great. I was using a 10 pound bell with the other "trainer" but I purchased a 15 pound bell prior to attempting Lauren's workout; I was so glad I did--it made the workout much more challenging and I felt wonderful afterwards. I have increased my kettlebell weight to 25 pounds for some of the moves and I am looking forward to increasing it even further. I hope Lauren completes another video soon!

I watched the video at first and was not all that impressed until I actually did the 40 minute workout. This one is a killer and a well coordinated 40 minute workout. The nice thing is you can increase this workout to doubles and heavier kettlebells and keep getting results. I would recommend this video to anyone looking for another effective workout with kettlebells.

I own quite a few KB DVD workouts. This one is probably the best. Lauren keeps a nice even pace and explains the moves. With the interval training, the workout is over before you know it. I would highly recommend this for any workout level.

I bought this DVD to help a friend get started with kettlebells. The Fat Blast Workout is a great way to burn fat and get a pump going. Everybody has 15 minutes they can spare. The section on proper exercise technique is very helpful and Lauren's instructions are clear and encouraging during the actual workout sections. I found the on-screen timer to be very helpful for pacing so I didn't end up mid-rep when she switches movements.

My husband is a big kettlebell believer and has wanted me to be as much of an enthusist as him. I am a girly girl and wasn't quite sure how I should feel about kettlebells. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised with this DVD. The instruction was clear, they both look AMAZING, I love the timer and the pace. To me, having two minutes working and one minute of rest is genious and I feel like I am working, but mentally, the workout seems so easy.

I am even happier that I have seen results so quickly. (who am I kidding, my husband is the happiest person, not only did he get me hooked on kettlebells, I am looking pretty good)

Great job Lauren and Dragon Door for having this product available. Please do more!!!!

 
10/10 A Must Have DVD

If you're like me without any convenient KB classes around, you definitely need to get this DVD. I've been having to create my own workouts, and needless to say, after a while, it gotten pretty boring. Lauren's DVD has given me some new exercises and workouts...as well as reminding me of some of the critical techniques I've let slip.

Lauren Brooks does a fantastic job showing proper form and technique on getting the most out of your kettlebell workout. There are 2 great workouts on here..a 12 minute one then a more advanced under 40minute. I'm still on the 12 minute and each time has me cursing at the TV! But each time it's been getting easier and easier as you can feel your body begin to get conditioned to this workout. You really get your heart racing making for good cardio exercise along with strengthening. I'm looking forward to starting the 40 minute workout after mastering the first one. I recommend this to anyone who is interested in looking for a good kettlebell routine workout to follow along to. Lauren really knows her stuff!

I bought this DVD because I haven't worked out since high school. I graduated in 2001 and have 1 child. I miss being in shape and so I thought I'd give this DVD a try. I wanted a program that I could do at home, no dancing or gyrating, just old fashioned working out. I've only been doing the 12minute fat blast, but I am ready to cut to the under 40min. workout. Lauren is wonderful and I am motivated every day to workout with her. I am very pleased with my purchase and will write a review once I've completed the whole program.

I first heard about Lauren Brooks from an article she wrote for http://www.stumptuous.com/. That's when I decided to start kettlebell training. I have a 9 month old and decided to go with her instruction. I ordered both my kettebells and the DVD from here. The mobility part is good for warming up and cooling down. The Fat Blastis good for busier days and the Sculpt and Conditoning is an excellent workout. I know I'll get the results I want with them.

I'm a 40-year old guy from Virginia who has been married 18 years and has two kids...my wife and I have been getting back into shape over the last couple of years, and I got Lauren's "Ultimate Body Sculpt and Conditioning" DVD after following a link to it from DragonDoor (I got into kettlebells after getting a couple of Pavel's books).
Anyway, it's just incredible. Even the 12-minute 'fat blast' workout is tough; I have my 2 boys working right beside me with their KB's, and we laugh because Lauren's such a nice, cute gal but this workout is KICKING OUR BUTTS!
My wife's going to get into it soon, after she recovers from a recent surgery, but she's really looking forward to it, she says "I want her abs!"
I think with Lauren's DVD, that's going to be no problem! Thanks again for a great DVD.

Kettlebell Goddess much better - definitely not worth the money. Circuit and interval training always good, techniques fine but just nothing remarkable, nothing to justify the price.

I have all the DVDs by Anthony DiLuglio of Art of Strength and I would say this rates right up there with those. I purchased and returned the Goddess workout--I found it boring, tedious, and drab. Though it contained more information than Lauren's, it is tough to watch. I also have two other DVDs by women, and this is by far the best. I just wish there had been one more long workout included:-) This is an excellent DVD for beginners. I also believe more advanced users can benefit--if nothing else--just to have a "canned" workout on those days you just don't want to think about what you are doing:-)

I have been using kettlebells since 2003 and have never had the kind of results with them that I have in just 3 weeks of using this DVD. I had the basic movements and even a workout going because of the instructions from other Dragon Door publications but I never put it together in this format. I haven't really lost any weight YET but my Husband and I both have noticed major changes in my body. I expect the excess fat will just start melting off soon as I'm definitely becoming more defined and have increased my lean muscle mass. Plus it gives you crazy energy. It's well planned and easy to follow. I highly recommend it.

This is a perfect total body circuit workout that you always have time for! There is also a 35 minute gut wrencher that does the job! The DVD counts down visually and and gives you ample warning about what is coming next. It is perfect!

I can always tell when I've had a good workout, I sweat like crazy and my body temp rises. I then know that my metabolism has kicked in and I will continue to burn calories long after I've finished. This is the case with Lauren's 40 minute kettlebell workout. I also combine the 12 minute and 40 minute workouts for a real "sweat fest."

This is a great DVD for starters. She explains things very well and the workouts are easy to understand, yet great for your body. I do wish there were more than two choices for workouts though.

This is exactly what I've been looking for - a very short workout with the kettlebell. I use it 3 times a week and it's fun, but a real workout, so that my body really feels it; I might add that I am 73 and retired. At first I couldn't do them all but this is my 3rd week and I am doing much better. I enjoy doing it, as well, and I am not bored at all. And I can always do the workout twice, and can move up to the longer workout. Great DVD!
