Will Williams: Biography
Available for indoor and outdoor training in the 610 area code. Workshops upon request. Despite the cold, we will reinvent the steel. “The kettlebell has presented itself as the weapon of choice for the proper application of the skills given to me by the United States Marine Corps. Without my Kettlebells, I am useless, without me, my Kettlebells are useless. Though my classes will always include other forms of resistance such as bodyweight, bags, bricks, balls, wheel barrows, ropes, rocks, tables, rafters, walls, crawls, and runs, it all goes back to the ‘bell. The principles of exercise and movement that I have learned since beginning kettlebell training will forever dominate any period of instruction I give. We are not bodybuilders, we are not models. We seek function before form. We choose “gung ho” over “pump and glow”. After a lesson with me, you will feel as though you’ve been beaten with Kettlebells. After several hours with me, you will feel as though you are carved from stone. Come have some” Will Williams RKC NSCA Certified Personal Trainer

SUPERMAN! Rated 10 out of 10
I trained with Will during the past two months to get ready for basketball season. Will had me do specific drills to improve my rebounding, shot, and dribbling. When we trained together, he played the best music to get me motivated. It was sometimes hard to come home from school and go straight to training but Will always made our workouts super fun! I am now much stronger and faster and feel good about trying out for my school's team. Will is the coolest trainer around!

Gifted Leader - Moves with Grace Rated 10 out of 10
Will Williams is a big guy. No i mean really. He is a BIG guy. Big SOLDIER guy with a voice like stomping through a gravel yard. The kind of guy ya look at with respect. From a distance. Intimidating much?

I admit: i was freaked out when i found out i was on this person's team for the recent Denmark RKC. I am a wee white woman, more given to protest marches than the military kind. What the hell kinda weekend was this going to be?

My concern was replaced initially with surprise and then just ongoing delight and admiration throughout the rest of the weekend. This giant of a guy was not only hugely supportive of all the instructors and students on his team, he moves with such grace, my biggest disappointment is there wasn't time for more one on one instruction.

Let me give you a couple of examples: in the snatch test, which is the first main activity of the certification, before anyone beyond the instructors really knows what's going on, and everyone's a tad anxious, Will observed my test and WHILE i was doing it, kept saying all these well, to me, very sweet things, from commenting on the pacing, 'nice and relaxed at the top...good form...nice pacing' - with praise like that you could just stand there and swing for a guy all day. Inspiring, much?

Now, throughout the Cert the team lead will be moving around keeping the team focused on the training exercises set, relying on the assistant instructors to keep closer eyes on smaller parts of the team, so you don't necessarily get a lot of direct contact with your lead. But each time Will came past, you know he'd looked carefully at what you were doing, either to say "way to go" - or what i found really super "You're doing great on X; now just try to tighten up Y...nice!" Constructive feedback; supportive feedback.

As an example of will's technique, everyone kept hearing about Will's near unique feats of strength over the weekend, but i'm hear to testify, his technique is a thing of beauty: he demonstrated the front squat sequence for me where he was suggesting how the "Huh!" at the bottom works in with the breathing. I coulda watched him do that move for ages, it was so fluid. How'd he do that? seamless; fluid. Technique. Oy. That again makes ya wanna practice, you know? Like: i want to do it like Will did it.

And finally, while he has the voice of a gravel pit raked over, he has the skills of an orator. He gave one of the most fluidly delivered presentations of the course about what you can do with groups in giving classes. I wish i had that on tape as a teaching example, not just for the content.

Will's a gifted leader:
he kept his team on track and motivated, including, it appeared, his assistant instructors, and certainly us, his students. He inspired confidence and support; he moved gracefully between supporting his colleagues and leading his own sections; he was available for questions, made solutions happen, and was easy to work for and with. And i think most of us felt we were working with Will.

While i started with incredulity (and ok, fear) that was quickly dispelled. After day one i sure felt lucky to have been on his team; by the second day, honored, and by the third, well, i hope i have the opportunity to work with him again. If i hadn't been on his team, i would not have seen/met/trained with this awesomely gifted instructor.

This sounds like gushing. Well, i'll tell you why i allow myself that latitude. Life is short. It's rare to meet people who so immediately command respect and trust and a sense that yes, given the chance i'd work for this guy again, and wish him every success - or equally rare to feel like what just happened was made even more rare and special because of a particular person's contribution. When was the last time you had an experience like that?

So i'm really glad DD has a space to recognize such valuable members of its team. Will, thanks Sir, it was an honour being on your team, and would be there for you, man, any time, barring the insurmountable, and it would have to be a heck of a mount not to.

This guy rocks. You get a chance to work with Will, you go for it.

What a true giant in the world of kettlebells Rated 10 out of 10
The RKC was the hardest training course I have had the pleasure to attend! I was close to giving up on the second morning of the RKC, but the big man kept me going with great motivation and leadership. Will was also exceptional at teaching points and technique, he lead with honour and integrity.

A guy to have in your team!

I had the good fortune to have Will as my Team Leader at the Denmark 2008 RKC.

As a former boxer and kickboxer, I have worked with numerous coaches, but I have to say that Will is by far the best trainer I have had the privilege of meeting.

The RKC Certification was the hardest 3 days training I have ever done, and I seriously doubt I would have got through it without Will. His teaching techniques and level of empathy were superb, and he has the ability to motivate you and inspire you to perform when you think you can't do any more.

PS Just make sure you don't ask him to entertain you with his 'English' accent...

I attended the class in Woodley Park on 3/22/08. I received an email that the 3/29/08 class would start at 8 am instead of 10 am.
I showed up at 7:45 and waited to 8:15 neither he or his partner showed up. I emailed in and they apologized and said they would give me
2 free classes. I showed up for the next weeks class 4/5/08 class at the 10 am time (even double checked it on his web site), and same
as the week before neither he or his partner showed up. I again emailed in and asked about it ? and I received no reply at all. I do feel lucky in
that at the 1st class they tried to get me to purchase a 10 class block in advance, so I am only out my time and no money.

Best I've ever trained with Rated 10 out of 10
I have been training with Will for several years now and I have to say he is the best trainer I have ever had. I have never made gains in strength and size like I did training with Will. I had never heard of Kettlebells until I met Will and now I own a set of 5. His enthusiasm is amazing and it rubs off on his clients as well. His classes are challenging and painful but fun and his one on one training is second to none. He is highly knowledgeable not only in Kettlebells but Olympic weight lifting, standard resistance training, and nutrition. Will is a definite asset to the RKC team and to the world of strength training in general. If you ever have a chance to train with him I highly suggest to take advantage of the opportunity.

I owe this man my life... Rated 10 out of 10
Although I have not yet trained with Will, I would not be tossing big iron bells if it weren't for him and Com. James Sjostrom. Because of Will, I was introduced to the way of the kettlebell and thus, my life was changed for the better.

I, therefore, owe this man my life because he has changed mine greatly.

Destined for Stardom Rated 10 out of 10
The Philadelphia Region is losing a precious resource. Unfortunately, for those of us that reside in Pennsylvania, after the New Year, like many great men before him, Will Williams will be heading west in search of fame and fortune. Fortunately, for those of you that reside in the L.A. area, you will be the recipient of a man destined to become a legend.

Will Williams has the charisma of a born leader, the insight of a psychic, and the talent of a professional athlete. He is a truely gifted trainer and I, obviously, recommend him highly.

Will has a great personality and his sessions are a blast. He has great experience and insight which make each training session with him incredibly informative and worthwhile. If you have any holes in your technique, Will will quickly have them filled and paved.

If you have the opportunity, train with Will Williams. You will be better for it.

BEAT UP BUT WANT MORE!! Rated 10 out of 10
Mr. Williams: Thank you for the opportunity to learn from you yesterday. I feel like 5 miles of bad road. Even my ears are sore! Seriously; You are a very good instructor. You kept a fast pace, but still was able to take the time to thoughly go over each movement. Even with a class of 10 people, you were able to give us the attention we needed when needed. I did not feel left behind on any of the routines. You did not push like some overzeolous trainers can. And it was good to see that safety was a key part of your training. Music was a bit loud for me, but that's proberly because I'm an old coot. Seeing and doing the various exercise with the correct weight was worth every penny. The chance to see more experienced "kettlebellers" do the routines let me see how proper form and technique can yield a more even flow and rythem to the moves.
I hope the persons or people whom take your place here will offer the same level of professionalism and enjoyment that your class does. Please put my name on any list for future classes at nite or weekend. I do wish you luck in California.
P.S. I kinda know you will, but please say a prayer for your fellow Marines overseas in Iraq and Afganistan. I will write my son and share this experience with him. I know he will get a kick out of knowing a fellow Marine was kick'n his old man's ass around!

Totally Worth the Commute!!! Rated 10 out of 10
My boyfriend and I drove from Northern Jersey to take two classes and we feel that the commute was totally justified. I was a total beginner and Will took the time to train me separately to ensure that I had good form and was performing the drills correctly because the rest of the class was at an intermediate level despite being a beginner class. The classes were upbeat and there was a good vibe and you could tell everyone really was happy to be there. There was a varying degree of fitness levels in the beginner class but in the advanced class were probably some of the most fit people I've ever seen from all age ranges. My boyfriend took the beginner and the advanced class and never have I seen him sweat so much, his shirt was soaked!!! He's using the new techniques he learned in the class in his own workouts at home. Will is great and I've been recommending him to everyone that will listen. The class was great and we are already planning our next trip out.

I have been training with Will for almost two years. I really dont know what to say but he kicks my ass every class. I look up to him as a leader and he teaches me a lot of different workouts. When I first met him i gave him a 5 week period to get me down a great amount of weight. What did he do, 19 lb's and a very stong shedded man that i was. He's tought me so much in the last 2 years and i will further my training through him.

Beat a Path to Will's Door Rated 10 out of 10
"You work out with what?" a friend asked me. And I tried to explain,"Well, they're shaped like a cow bell, except they're solid, and they have a handle like horns...." and I saw my friend's eyes roll up. "Well, maybe let me show you what we do with them," I suggested. But my contortions drew a look of deep concern from my friend. "Now wait before you dial 911!" I begged, as my friend pulled out his cell phone, "nevermind the WHAT or the HOW, let me tell you about the WHO--Will Williams, a trainer the whole world should meet."

I explained that Will never offers a "canned" training session, but looks for new techniques or approaches that engage me personally and address my peculiar and particular challenges. While it is always tough business with Will, it's never business as usual. He is attentive to pacing the session, paying close attention to my needs for stretching and preparation. At the end of the session, I come away feeling like I have learned something and taken another step toward good health. And I always feel refreshed and energized--even if too beaten up to think of much else but a warm shower and an aspirin.

I don't think I have yet convinced my friend about a bell workout with Will. My friend says he prefers quiet meditation and deep breathing, but I assured him that I have never breathed deeper than I have while working with Will, and afterwards, I am so quiet that even my bank account doesn't phase me.

The whole world should beat a path to this trainer's door, undoubtedly the best I have encountered. (And training with Will is always an encounter.)

Top notch instructor for a unique training platform. Rated 9 out of 10
Will is a top notch instructor in that he pushes his classes to perform exercises correctly with a hugh emphasis on form; he stresses safety and pays close attention to each class member, even in large groups. Even when he appears to be a mad man in pushing extra sets of various exercises, you know that he is doing this to improve your form, strength and fitness. His classes have motivated me to improve my fitness regime even outside of the realm of kettlebells. The benefits of the training are apparent in the sports that I play. He would have received a 10 rating based on his training acumen, but his questionable music tastes bring down the rating a step. I urge anyone to try a class with Will and see for yourself what happens.

This guy knows his bells! Rated 10 out of 10
I have been training with Will for about 8 months and I can safely say that I am hooked on kettlebells and Will's unique training style. The best part, is that I can see the results, I am getting stronger and developing more endurance. Will is devoted to his clients and I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed if you decide to train with him. No two workouts are the same. Are Will's kettlebell classes addictive? Absolutely! His workouts are tough, fun, and rewarding and I always feel great afterward. Will trains the moves well, and encourages strict attention to proper form. This workout is fun and especially useful for any over 40 female. We need to build strength as we age and this is the workout to do it. Will's even got me doing pullups and running, and enjoying it. I hate running, so how does he do it? Go check out a class and see for yourself!

REJUVENATION Rated 10 out of 10
Will is the cause of my renewed interest in exercise. As a bodybuilder in the past, I found less enjoyment in the gym and was becoming stale. I watched Will train other clients and was impressed with his energy and attention to detail. He began to train me and slowly introduced bells into the routine. For more than two years I have used bells only. As a sixty year old man, I am more limber and move with much less pain than my peers.

He has taught me gently but firmly to be more relaxed about exercise and to deal with the discomfort of exercise. He is knowledgeable and combines the right amount of playfulness to make his training fun. He has worked around my previous injuries with exercise modifications to allow gains in flexibilty and strength

I have watched him in multi-client situations where he is alert and aware of the differing abilities present. He works well with various age clients. As a trainer by avocation, I continue to learn from him and attribute my level of fitness to his ability to constantly motivate me to new personal achievment.

Cancer and the "Will" to Win Rated 10 out of 10
My review, though slightly biased, comes from the years of knowing Mr. Williams and watching him work with every type of client imagineable. His direction and drive never sways. He will take you, push you, motivate you and turn you into the physical being you have always wanted to be. That is if "you" have the drive to take it to that level. His knowledge of "the Bell" is unmatched and he thrives on attaining more of this through observation and by attending other instructors forums.

I am a two time Cancer survivor (now in my third session) and each time during my Chemo sessions my doctors ask me how I stay in such fantastic shape and great spirits in preparation for each Cycle. The answer is simple, attitude, positive thought and a fitness routine that gets you through even the toughest that Cancer can throw at you! I take care of the first two and Mr. Williams takes care of number three! He is an important part of my "Team" and I look foward to returning to the bell in the very near future! I hope to see you there, too!

Addicting Rated 10 out of 10
Lovin' every minute of it! I have trained under Will for 6 months and I cannot stress to you enough have incredible kettlebell training is. The class is the craziest, most insane form of exercise I have ever been involved with. More importantly, it is Will that really keeps you coming back. He can be as ferocious as a lion, or a gentle as a lamb - but you know you are in the best hands. He knows what each person needs - how hard to push them, how to motivate them, what makes each of us respond. The class is addicting. Will makes it addicting. We never know what to expect, but we do know it will be an incredible workout, led by a top rate instructor. Will cares about each one of us. Underneath all that sweat and grunting, we are a family and have a great time together. I have never had so much fun getting my assed kicked!

It burns, burns, burns! Rated 10 out of 10
I have trained with Will for nearly 3 years. I am physically stronger, several sizes smaller, and armed with a completely new respect and understanding of health, nutrition, and fitness. I live my life differently now, make smarter choices, and often find myself 'spreading the word' about training with Will and Main Line Kettlebells. I believe in Will, the person and the trainer. And as you can see by the other reviews, I am not alone. Some of our personal training sessions and group classes have been downright legendary. In fact, certain songs and locations still trigger memories of that glorious sweat-earned pain.

Will has a unique ability to empower the athlete in anyone, regardless of age, size, gender, or existing strength. He will educate, motivate, and inspire you to push yourself beyond what you think is possible. Ultimately though, your fitness is your choice. Will matches your level of commitment. So you better come to work and check your excuses at the door. Do this, and Main Line Kettlebells will be your greatest partner in achieving your health and strength goals, and you might even pick up a new favorite band.

Looking for a Change Rated 10 out of 10
After years of traditional weightlifting - suffering through plateaus and boredom, I met Will and was introduced to kettlebells. Things haven't been the same since.

From the beginning I was impressed with Will's expert knowledge of strength training and his attention to detail with respect to form and body mechanics. His workouts are intense and demanding, yet informative and fun (and the music rocks). Will knows how to motivate a large and diverse team, but still provide individualized attention and feedback. I fully trust him and appreciate that he constantly pushes me to new limits.

Thanks to kettlebells and Will Williams, I have restructured my entire philosophy toward fitness training and diet. I feel stronger and healthier than I ever have before; and I know where my weaknesses are, and what I have to do to minimize them.

I can't say enough positive things about Will. He has changed my life and I know he will change yours.

The Best Rated 10 out of 10
Will is the best. I completed his Independence Day Massacre earlier today. It was the hardest workout I have ever had. I told Will I hated him towards the end of the program. Of course he smiled. I know he took that as the highest compliment - and he should. He put together a great workout and then coached us through it. He is always sure to notice every participant individually.
I could not have made it to the end without the commraderie of the group. Will even had us all do swings to support the last person finishing the massacre. What a great leader!
Before I learned about Will I had been working out on my own at a gym. I know I have gotten much stronger over the past six months because Will pushes me to try more. I always look forward to the next class. Who knows what will happen then!

Right Place at the Right Time Rated 10 out of 10
My wife and I have always engaged in some form of exercise, mostly aerobic. However, when we turned 50, we wanted to incorporate some strength training into our routines, and into our life comes Will. We were introduced to kettlebells (and Will) about 9 months ago through a work aquaintance of Gail's, and it was exactly what we had been looking for. Will is an excellent instructor, and a great guy. His workouts are strenuous, and he really pushes you to limits that you didn't know you could reach. But once you're finished, you're SO glad you did it. He always knows how to structure the workouts so that you're not overwhelmed. However, I still don't know 90% of the music that he plays. Gail and I push each other on days when one of us may not be particularly motivated, but we're happy that we go, because the end results are well worth the work. We feel great. We're excited about working with Will. A couple of other reviewers put it just right...when you work with Will, it motivates you. Will never lets you sit on things that you've already achieved...he's always pushing you towards the next level.

I'm lucky I met Will Williams! Rated 10 out of 10
I had been training for six or seven months all by myself, trying to stay motivated in my own personal weight loss program. I had done fairly well but I was getting bored and less motivated with my own work out as time went on.

I met Will Williams at my gym and with a hearty handshake and a friendly smile, Will invited me to an entry level Kettlebell class. I decided to see what Kettlebell's were all about and ever since that first class I haven't stopped swinging!

Will Williams is probably the best and most motivational instructor I have ever met! Every Kettlebell class is exciting, inspirational, fun and better workouts than Ive ever had. Will's knowledge about training with Kettlebell's and training in general is awesome. He shares that knowledge with all of his class in a way that makes you hungry for more!

Will's training and motivation has helped me transform myself from a 236 pound fat I.T. guy to a 182 pound lean, mean motivated geek! I'm hooked on Kettlebell's, I have more energy and I am stronger now at age 38 than I was when I left high school at age 18, I'm loving my new life and I have Will Williams to thank for that!

Will has showed me how to shed the fat and become the strong, motivated person I've always wanted to be. I can absolutely say for a fact that training with Will Williams has been one of the best experiences of my life.

A BORN LEADER Rated 10 out of 10
Will knows his stuff, he's creative and challenging, and he delivers frighteningly effective 1-hour workouts. But his top talent is knowing how to turn something brutal into something fun. He's a born leader. Smart, funny, entertaining, and demanding, you want to be a part of his team and you want to work hard for him.

IT'S NOT JUST THE BELLS Rated 10 out of 10
I'm probably Will's oldest student, but I feel younger since I started training with him. I always hated exercising, but somehow doing kettlebells with Will is fun. I used to spend money with the chiropracter and now I give it to Will instead. I can feel like I'm dragging, but when Will comes into view, I'm motivated, baby. I'm totally confident that what he tells me to do is safe and good for me. I've done private sessions weekly since January, and the group classes are a blast. You never know what he'll have you doing next. One on one or a really large class, he's in control and has everyone working to capacity. He's a great trainer. You're clear on what to do, how to do it best and understand why it works. Sometimes the music is a little funky, but, hey, my back doesn't hurt and I'm stronger, so who cares. I'm a fan and highly recommend anyone, any age to see how much fun and how good for you kettlebell training is - especially with Will Williams. It's not just the bells.

HE'S ADDICTING Rated 10 out of 10
I know this will sound cliche, but training with Will Williams has changed my life. Before meeting Will I thought of myself as a "happy mother of two with back problems who used to be athletic." After two weeks of training with Will, I swear I felt athletic again. I always feel confident that my safety, strength and health are his first priorities... loud music and a bit of twisted humor are a close runner-up. His workouts are motivating and fun. I've been training with Will for a year and I can say that no two classes have ever resembled each other. There's always something different, and I always walk away from his class feeling stronger. Will's knowledge of athletic training goes without saying... he knows what he's doing. I'm stronger at 39 than I've ever been in my life (and my back problems are a thing of the past). Now ten more snatches, Will.

SECOND TO NONE Rated 10 out of 10
I have been training with Will WIlliams for 3 years now and it has been an incredible journey. Will's knowledge of strength training in general, kettlebell training specifically, and his amazing motivating abilities are second to none! His leadership keeps you driven and strong and you find yourself yearning for more. He is dedicated to providing his clients with his best and is continuing to find techniques to help achieve fast results.

I personally came to Will after having two children and wanting to gain muscle tone and strength to keep up with my growing family. With hard work, kettlebells transformed my body and got me in the best shape of my life. I trained with Will and worked out with kettlebells thru my 3rd pregnancy until the week before my son was born. Will's constant monitoring, care and safety of both me and my baby was his priority. My pregnancy went incredibly smooth and bouncing back was amazingly fast. I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight after only 3 weeks!

I highly recommend Will Williams to anyone who is willing to put in the effort to achieve their fitness goals!

He Had Me At Hello Rated 10 out of 10
Will was awesome!! He was supportive, tough, encouraging, sharp, a natural leader, and most of all, fun. The first day of the RKC was the first time I picked up a kettlebell. I appreciated that Will didn't take it easy on me. He worked me as hard as everyone else. He listened and was attentive and gave great corrections. His enthusiasm for kettlebells stuck to me like all the tape I put on my hands during the course. I loved that he wasn't afraid to get in there and do the workouts with us (including the Grad Test). I kicked his butt. I totally knew I had the best instructor out there. I was very proud to be on team Williams. OOORAAAA!

THANK YOU MR. WILLIAMS Rated 9 out of 10
I am a Personal Trainer from the LA. area. I first met Will @ the L.A. Fit Expo @ one of the few booths that actually had something to do w/fitness. All most people there wanted to do was oil each other up, have a flex off & snag some free supplements. Will was there on the other hand to promote the age old art of Russian Kettlebell training. I was sold. I enrolled in the RKC UCLA Aug. cert workshop.
Others had told me that this cert. was no joke & @ times the tests could be brutal. I started training 6mo. out. I was nervous when I got to the cert. Through the luck of the draw Will was my team leader. Will is a former Marine & sounds like one. Due to the fact that the weekend was taught in a slightly militaristic fashion he was right in his element. He systematically, efficiently & patiently put us through drills, Lectures & workouts giving us all the tools that we needed to pass our final tests. When the weekend is almost over they slap the Grad Work Out on you. It is not a fun work out. I only saw one team leader out there to bring his team home & that was Mr. Williams. Will Williams is an excellent instructor, Team Leader & Perfect example of What an RKC should be. I recommend Will to anyone. Do not let his phone voice scare you. As long as you don't challenge him to a cage match everything will be OK.

Above & Beyond Rated 10 out of 10
I am taking the time on writing this post for Will Williams because he always took the time for me! Even with his busy schedule of traveling as Team Leader, moving to different states, recovering from surgery, and life in general..... he ALWAYS responded back to me and answered any question I had about RKC and kb's. I probably had about #950 questions but who's counting!

The crazy thing is this. I NEVER met Will in person!! We only communicated through emails. His honesty, sincerity, and passion for kettlebell training is truly an inspiration. It's very rare for someone to give so much to a person they never met before. Will went above and beyond the call of duty for an RKC candidate! RKC is very lucky to have such a gem on there Instructor Staff.

I hope I'm doing Will justice by writing this post because words can't describe how much his generosity means to me. If you ever have the chance to work with Will in person.....
DO IT!!!!!

Will Williams and I have spent many a long hour on the phone, in the field or in a restaurant mulling over the theory and practice of Hardstyle kettlebell training. He is a true student of the School of Strength, always seeking depth in his skill. He is a man of caharacter and integrity and one of the finest instructors I know.

Will has opened my eyes up to a whole new world of strength training. Kettlebell training is something I have never even heard of till now. Hes constantly challenging me to push myself and do it correctly. Hes made me realize how 3 CORRECT pull-ups are more beneficial then 10 WRONG ones. I workout with him once to twice a week and always leave feeling satisfied and jacked up!!!! He motivates me at all times and always encourages me to get strong and healthy. Hes improved my well being. THANKS WILL!!!!!

1) I LOVE KETTLEBELLS!
2) I LOVE WILL WILLIAMS!
Will is the reason I am very sore right now. Its only been about a month of training with Will and I already feel stronger. Will is patience when I don't understand a move and slowly walks me through it until i get it. I love how he can just watch the way I am moving and knows right away what I need to change. I feel so safe under his direction. I know he would never let me hurt myself doing something my body was not ready for. But he will help me to get to the point that I can do it. Not only are his sessions rewarding they are also so much fun. He is a great trainer and a decent guy. I would definitely recommend him to everyone!

My Mentor and good friend Rated 10 out of 10
I owe my success and start in the Kettlebell business to Will Williams. I was first introduced to Will when I was working at a gym in the suburbs of Philly. He was demonstrating the basic Kettlebell movements and at that moment I knew this was what I wanted to do. His knowledge and Instruction was awesome and easy to understand. So, in Septemeber of 07, I became an RKC. Over the years he molded me into a better instructor and got me to realize thats its not about crushing your client with high reps and crazy excercises. Kettlebells has changed my life in so many ways and I thank Will Williams for everything that he has done for me.
If you are ever get the privledge to train or be trained by Will Williams you will see why he is a Senior RKC instructor and my mentor.

Brimming with knowledge Rated 10 out of 10
I am an RKC since Sept 08 and I intend on being an active instructor so I went to Will to keep my skills sharp. I basically told him what my goals were and what I was having trouble with and he thoroughly coached me. His communication is direct and unwavering. He coached me on my own technique, handled my weaknesses in troubleshooting, and shared his knowledge of the kettlebell instruction business with me. Will definitely has certainty and is willing to instill that in others. His intention to help is ever-present. I intend on training with Will regularly now.

The year of the kettlebell. Rated 10 out of 10
2008 has been my year of the kettlebell. As a 37 year old man, I can say I have been around a bit. I've done the gym memberships, spinning classes and even an occasional step or kickboxing class. But nothing I have done is the past can compare with the gains I have earned and acquired since I started training with Russian Kettlebells under the watchful eye of Will Williams.

In only four months of working with Will Williams, I have unlearned the mistakes I picked up in the gym over the years. True fitness goes beyond mere vanity. Will has not only helped me to become physically stronger, our sessions encompass flexibility, posture, cardiovascular fitness and an all around sensibility in taking command of ones health.

Will Williams is the complete package when it comes to a personal trainer. Will is very knowledgeable and experienced in his work. I picked up on this very quickly. I ask many questions and Will would always answer with ideas and examples to help me get a good grasp of what he was explaining. Will is always polite and respectful and is punctual to his sessions. Will encourages me to watch him train other students to continue to learn(On a side note, I see the whole Russian kettlebell community as being generous and sharing) While watching Will train others, I also noticed how he tweaks the workouts of every individual to pay special attention to their specific needs. Will has also gone food shopping with me on his own time as I have altered my diet according to his advice.

Ok, time to share results. After four months, I have dropped 29 pounds. My shoulders, stomach and sides are becoming more defined. My back and legs are noticeably stronger. This is evident in all the lifting I do at work. Also after work, my knees and feet are not sore. I have more energy at work and many people have complemented me on the weight I have lost and the definition in my upper body. And in only four months!!!

The human body is a piece of art. Manipulating the kettlebell during exercise to achieve a great workout is indeed an art form in itself as well. You can see this for yourself watching Will demonstrate an exercise. You feel this when you execute your workouts yourself. As a new student of Will Williams, you are like a fresh block of clay. Work hard with this master craftsman as he removes and peels away the body fat, the poor diet, the doubts and the years of senseless repetitive movements that only cause injury. As you will discover, Will's workouts are intense and grueling and designed to work you, but when he takes you out of the furnace what is left is a body, and fighting spirit that's clean, cut and rock hard.

More than a kettlebell instructor Rated 10 out of 10
Will and I have very similar paths in our RKC journeys from the 2005 kettlebell convention to present day. Over the years we have become more like brothers than friends. He will give you the shirt off his back if you are cold and the food in his hand if you are hungry. That is just who W2 is!

We have spent many RKC weekends administering pain and working on our own skills, which makes us better at our craft. Will is a great instructor and one of the most stand up people you will ever meet, if you have to opportunity to train with Will of even just to meet him you will not be disappointed. You will however be highly entertained!!!

Shot, over. Shot, out. Rated 10 out of 10
Just finished training with Will in an introductory 5 week course. Great instructor, communicator and teacher. I never expected to learn so much in such a short period of time. It wasn't a shotgun blast of information but everything made sense and there was a method to the madness that is kettlebells. This is only the beginning for me but I don't plan on stopping this new lifestyle that has been introduced to me by Will. Semper Fi brother.

Just completed the same 5 week course Mike R wrote about. Awesome! After graduation yesterday I feel like I was beaten with the bell, but when my new bells arrive I'll learn to tame them rather than be tamed, and Will set me up to do it. He's no-nonsense and he backs everything up with an incredible work ethic. If you want to change your body and your attitude, Will's your man.

Got My Head In The Game! Rated 10 out of 10
I took only two classes a few years ago with Will and I thought I was totally insane for even trying it. I rationalized not going to class with the usual excuses and was so wrong for not keeping up with it. I don't even want to think about where I could be now had I stayed.

After a serious health concern last June, my doctor told me to stay away from the gym for a while. I needed to get in shape to stay ahead of the game because a 7 year old shoulder injury flared up from not working out. I couldn't move my shoulder without it hurting. Then, I remembered the halos from Will's class and did two sets a day with my 24kg 'bell; within FOUR days I could move my shoulder in any direction I wanted with no pain. Then I realized... my body was starving for some hard exercise! I told the doc what I did to fix my shoulder and he just sat in disbelief. He had never heard of a kettlebell. I explained... and he reluctantly approved. I can't wait until he sees me again. Shortly thereafter, a friend I bowl with told me about the kettlebell workshop and I jumped on it. Will was so glad to see me back and I was happy to be back.

Aside from great technique and borderline torture, Will works on what's going on in your head. He destroys any self-doubt you have that's eating away at your goals. He... is Great... I'm going back for more. Thank you, Will!

Great motivator Rated 10 out of 10
I am the oldest class member in Will's Main Line Night class. I am totally motivated. I'm very confident that what he tells me to do is safe and good for me. Will is in control and has everyone working to their own capacity. I have always been in shape.... that is until 2 years ago. I went from having a very active job to a very sedintary one. Needless to say life catches up to you! I have finally found an excerise class that isn't dull, boring or easy (although once in a while that's not a bad thing) He's a great trainer. You're clear on what to do, how to do it best and understand why it works. I am loving the workouts and look forward to contnue working with Will. Thank you

Ooh Rah! Rated 10 out of 10
I completed my RKC certification in October, 2008 in St. Paul MN. That was just the beginning of what I hope to be a long path of learning the RKC System of Strength.

I practiced with Will Williams, Sr. RKC yesterday and I feel like what I learned will help me in my quest to continue to improve each time I touch the kettlebell.

Will's patience and knowledge were on full display as he gave me even more and subtler tools to assist my growth as an RKC.

You shared information to help me be a better student as well as a better member of the RKC community.

Thank you Will and I appreciate your knowledge, your presence and your sense of humor.

A Touch of Class Rated 10 out of 10
I had the pleasure of woking with Will this Sunday. I had a lot of fun and we worked hard. I felt like a mini RKC weekend. We went through some of my problem areas using many different tools, until I had the correct mechanics. I really apprecited his study of my movements and his thorough note taking. It's amazing the differnce in my skill level now, big changes! We finished up w/ a 60 set VO2 Max just for fun. Great time and I walked away a much better Kettlebeller.

Will Williams IS the kettlebell. Rated 10 out of 10
I didn't know anything about kettlebells when I signed up for a 5 week training course with Will. I'm positive there couldn't be a better instructor. He is the kettlebell; it's obvious everytime he does a move. So when you train with him, you get to tap into this knowledge.

He managed to train 20 people, ages ranging 25-50, male and female, experienced and inexperienced and meet everyone's needs. He did so with humor and respect for everyone's abilities. I highly recommend him as an instructor. If you have a chance to train with him, do it!

I've dabbled in strength training before, but never kbells. I never thought that I'd feel so much stronger from 5, 1.5 hr classes. Kbell training is going to be part of my life from this point forward.

Eats, sleeps and breathes Kettlebells,,, Rated 10 out of 10
Will if very technical in his approach to teaching kettlebell training and he is adamant that it is the best way to build lean muscle mass, increase stamina, and injury-proof your body. I didn't know anything about kettlebells before training with Will, but his attention to detail and knowledge of technique helped me get results that I never could have achieved in the weight room or on the track. Will has a great personality and mixes in a good sense of humor and dry wit to his training, but his objective never changes...he wants you to transform your body into a steel fortress. I would recommend Will to athletes who want to improve performance, people who are looking to get back into shape or rehab an injury, or those who are seeking a new and exciting excercise routine.

Motivator to the Core!! Rated 10 out of 10
There are not enough words to descirbe Mr. Williams. I had the pleasure to train under him and Adam Glass this past weekend at St. Paul for the first HKC. Knowing that Will is a Marine(in his past life) made this past weekend even better because I myself am a Marine. Having shared the same experiences in the Marines, I believe made the HKC that much better becuase he taught what he cared about with so much passion like a Marine cares for his rifle, chow and beer. I learned alot from Will and looked to him and Adam as mentors as I start my life the Hardstyle way. Thanks so much and OOOORRRRAAAHH!!

Fire Power Rated 10 out of 10
I attended the inaugural HKC workshop in St. Paul, and was lucky enough to train under Will and his colleague, Adam Glass. As an exercise physiologist in the fire service, I will try to communicate the lessons I learned to my fire fighters: In the development of physical power, there is no such thing as "passive" or "negative." All movement is driven by intent and focus of strength. Thanks, Will, for all you shared with us, and for the professional manner in which you did so. You are an excellent role model as a trainer of strength and discipline.

Will is a Team Leader at the first ever HKC Certification Rated 10 out of 10
Hello Will and Adam,
It has been a little over a week since the HKC Training and I wanted to give a shout out to the both of you for your fantastic instruction and continued support. Before I participated in the HKC experience, I had only been exposed to kettlebells for about 2 months. I had purchased multiple books and videos to "self teach" and when Adam says that people "play around" with the kettlebell, I was one of them. After the 1 day seminar with the amazing staff at Dragondoor, I feel 100x more confident in my own ability to perform the Goblet, Get up and Swing and to also teach it more effectively (I wasn't teaching my clients too much because I wanted to be sure I was giving them proper instruction). Aside from that I got a glimpse of how professional the entire RKC Team is, how dedicated everyone is to the program, to spreading the word, and teaching the concepts that the program is designed upon....and constantly improving on.
I'm very excited to be a part of this community and I'm already in awe of the people I've met and the interviews I've heard on Geoff Nupert's weekly call. I'm not sure if RKC is in my future, but I hope to learn more and more...using the HKC as a foundation to build upon in ways known and unknown.
A big heartfelt THANK YOU to you both.

Cheers,

The blank slate Rated 10 out of 10
I was recently at Pavel's Hardstyle Ventura workshop with Will. If you did not know better you would think he was just some guy who walked on the field, not a Senior RKC Instructor who has been around the block and then some.
I endeavor to approach my work as a trainer from the perspective of the blank slate waiting to be filled with knowledge, and I see this same attribute in Will. Have no doubt though, when it comes time to dispense the knowledge he's got it. Someone else stated that he's a natural leader, and I think this is a quality that makes for a great trainer, because at the end of it all what are we doing? We're leading people into a new world.
So I strongly encourage you to contact Will for a sensitive and gentle journey into the world of fitness.
Or he'll just put his boot into your backside until you get stronger.
