About Me

Personal Life

I'm a native Floridian, wife of 34+ years, mother of 3, & dog mom. I'm a die-hard Florida Gator fan, love boating with my husband & family and especially look forward to summer vacation which always takes us to beautiful Lake George in Upstate NY.

The Old Me!

I've done everything from working as a Media Director for a South Florida ad agency in the early 1990s,  a Marketing & Sponsorship Director for a concert promoter, a Promotion Director for a popular Palm Beach County FM radio station to working as a stay-at-home mom, as a substitute teacher & opening growing a law firm from a team of 2 (my husband & me) to over 250 people.

I started "fitnessing" on the terrazzo floors of a local church doing Jazzercise when I was 14 and never stopped. Years of exercising (you name it... kickboxing, step aerobics, spinning, or whatever the popular thing was) along with the stress of life, long hours at a desk, layered on top of unknown biomechanical issues (who ever heard of a movement assessment back in those days?) lead me to 2 foot surgeries, a back surgery in 2015 & abdominal surgery in 2016.

THE SHIFT..... How I Got HERE!

After my back surgery, the doctor told me to never lift heavy, bend or twist again. I couldn't believe this was how it had to be, so I started a search on social media for hashtags like #backsurgeryrecovery #spinalfusion #postbacksurgeryexercises. This lead me to an interest in proper movement so I attended an FMS workshop and landed my first certification followed by a NASM certification, Animal Flow certification, & eventually led me to kettlebells. I tranied for the RKC for a full year with a coach who was also a physical therapist & passed the certification in New York City in January 2022. This was no easy task & it's easily one that I'm most proud of!

MY GOAL...

To help people who have been told they are anything less than they are & empower them to feel MORE through strength & proper movement practices! What better way to do than with a KETTLEBELL!!!

10/10 Bouncing back from back pain!

By Jacqueline Greiner / Boynton Beach, United States

I’m forever grateful to have Dana teach me how to strengthen and move my body in a healthy way. I learned lots of strategies to improve posture, gain muscles, and avoid injury. She sent me recaps of everything we did during our workouts so I could do them on my own later, and Dana always made it fun by choosing to do a workout outside at the park, or trying new programs so I always looked forward to the session.

10/10 The Dana Difference

By Samara Zogby / Boca Raton, United States

I was looking for a trainer “to get in shape” when I met Dana. She was one of 5 trainers I interviewed. What struck me about Dana was the care and authenticity she displayed when talking to me when reviewing my needs, and that set her apart from some of the other trainers I had met. While “gentle and caring” are terms overused these days, I have to emphasize this about her: Dana is genuinely attentive and focused on me during our sessions, through and through. She sends a text after EVERY SINGLE WORKOUT to find out how your body is faring. She is relentless in her pursuit to understand my body’s needs, and how far she can push it. And when doing so, Dana is extremely careful. As someone who’s had surgery, she is well versed on how to recover your body’s strength with movement. Beyond having an incredible understanding of how the body moves, Dana believes in pushing you to the next level when you’re ready, so there’s no free ride with her. My body is now strong, and I can say that with confidence. I have strength, confidence and knowledge (“muscle memory”) to carry a Costco pack of water bottles into the lower shelf of my fridge. I can do push-ups. I can squat comfortably and keep that position – all things that would not have been possible without a significant amount of effort or slight injury before meeting her. While her method of getting you stronger is personalized and incredibly tailored, perhaps the best feature has been her overall strength strategy for my body. For some crazy reason, she got me to come, three times a week, and train with her – WITHOUT DREADING it, without having that anxiety of exerting all that effort, or “having to working out”. I looked forward to our sessions, and for someone who has hated strength training her whole life, and who has gone through at least 5 strength trainers, this came as a huge revelation. I think it’s because I knew she was going to ease me into whatever she had planned. With my newfound strength, I wasn’t afraid of going to the next level, and I wasn’t afraid of trying new movements. The point is – I’m stronger, sure. But I have learned to love strength movement, and I have learned to appreciate my strength and my body’s capabilities. THAT, is the Dana difference.

10/10 Skilled and suppotive instructor

By Maureen Hunter / Boca Raton, United States

Dana's based my instruction on a comprehensive evaluation of my core strength and proper breathing techniques and ALWAYS put safety at the forfront of my training sessions. It was clear her instruction was based on years of training. When first using kettlebells she emphasizes the importance of proper grip, stance, as well as proper breathing to acheive the best results. My goal initially was to build strength in my legs but it became much more than I could have anticipated; i am stronger physically and more confident. Dana's inner strength. physical strength and innate kindness shines through in her instruction, she wants you to be the very best you can be.

Dana is an absolute joy to work with. She is so passionate about her craft, and always learning. She is open to new ideas and has really transformed over the span of the year that I’ve known her. You will not regret working with someone like her, highly recommended!

10/10 Trainer training with Dana!!

By Garrett Tandy / West palm beach, USA

I have been in the fitness industry since 2004. My initial passion was physical education but over the years that morphed into personal training at country clubs. I first met Dana at an FMS course in South Florida. I was already certified and just there to visit some of the fms instructors. Dana was the most enthused student there and understood the material at a high level. She was new to the fitness industry and we lived near me. We became quick friends and I was happy to answer any question she had on her journey to being an elite fitness professional. We have kept in touch since, through the pandemic, and now is the person who I chose to train me!!! Dana is enthusiastic, caring, smart and progresses clients appropriately.

10/10 Restore strength back to daily life

By Mary R / Boca Raton, United States

I originally came to Dana after looking for help with lower back pain. I was struggling to do daily activities after spending the most recent 10-15 years of intense desk & computer work and not staying active. Long hours at my desk over a sustained period of time really weakened my ability to stay balanced, lift objects, clean and even get dressed easily. After working with Dana for a few sessions, the back pain disappeared, balance improved and my body awareness increased substantially! I love the individualized attention and the care that goes into workouts that are tailored to my needs. I am grateful to Dana for helping me get stronger and look forward to what comes next in my fitness journey with her. :-)
